DWF is a file format created by the Autodesk company that is the compressed version of a CAD file and is used for distributing rich design data.
Even though the app's name suggests one thing, when you check the program's output settings, you'll notice that there are 2 output formats: DWG and DXF. The utility also lets you choose the preferred output version for the resulted file (AutoCAD 9, AutoCAD 14, etc.).
A good aspect is that the application comes with a built-in help manual which comes in handy if you're new with this type of tools or you just need to learn how to configure the output settings correctly.
In my testing, the program immediately exported the files I needed. Also, it didn't slow down the performance of my system in the process.
My only issue with this utility is the fact that it's a bit pricey. Still, it's the same price you have to pay if you choose to acquire DWF to DWG converters from different developers.
Pros
- Supports batch processing
- Fast conversion speed
- Offers you supports for all DWF entity types exported by AutoCAD
Cons
- Pricey
